Dislikes: Being pitied because of her injury, people who push their limits, people who play "hero", thunder (and loud sounds in general), heights, pity in general, having her problems solved for her, sweet AND spicy foods
Personality: Rica is a confident girl from a noble family. Becoming a knight is very important to her. However, she has a disability that resulted from training too hard as a child and getting into an accident. It is nothing major, but enough that it holds her back. Rica absolutely hates getting pity though and reacts negatively to people who treat her too much like a "poor baby". She is hard-working and wants to overcome her disability. When meeting new people, she will never bring it up unless asked.

She comes off as a very serious person because she has some harsh views. For example, she believes in "tough love". If someone has a problem, Rica will not directly help them but insteads points them in the right direction so they can help themselves. If someone collapsed in front of her, Rica would not offer them a hand unless she thought they had no way of getting up on their own. She also thinks that heros should be able to protect themselves as well as they protect others, so stories of self-sacrifice don't impress her. If she disagrees with you, she will tell you so bluntly. As a whole, she seems very down-to-earth.

But these things do not mean she is unfriendly. In fact, if you display a trait that she dislikes than she is more likely to approach you than anyone else. Rica does not see the point in associating with people unless good will come from it, so would rather quietly point someone she considers dumb in the right direction. She is very tolerant with people if she thinks she can change them, and able to comprehend that not everyone can see the world the way she does. Rica acknowledges that her harsh point of view comes from her being disabled and wants others to learn before they suffer like she did.

Rica does like to goof off with friends. It is true that she is very uptight, but that is only when she is focused on being a good knight. If she is removed from situations where she feels the need to act like a knight, Rica turns out to be a very energetic and happy girl. Though her viewpoint is harsh, Rica is sheltered by her rich lifestyle and can still be naive in certain matters. When off duty, Rica can be very childish and gets excited very easily, especially when it comes to trying new things or competition. She also loves to cook, but anything she cooks tastes terrible.

It might also be noted that Rica is not afraid to ask for help when she needs it, but will not ask until she feels she absolutely needs it. Even with her disability, she is certain that she can overcome it and optimistically works towards the future. This optimistic attitude is almost naive and childish, but Rica doesn't like to think she's being childish.

History:
{♦} ------ IN A SUPER NUTSHELL
♦ Generica was born in Adysia
♦ Her family has a long-lasting tradition of serving as knights
♦ The main bloodline has also been all male for as long as the family history is recorded. Generica broke this. There was successor drama among her relatives, who thought she was not suited to be the heir and that her male cousins should get the title.
♦ When her younger brother was born, the family tried to pretend he was the first born and would be the heir.
♦ But Generica became a very high-standing student at the Knights Academy she attended and showed Ricard up.
♦ Then she had a bad accident {read: failed assassination attempt} when she was 11 and was partially disabled { Brown Sequard Syndrome, though she obviously doesn't know the modern day technical term}
♦ Because of her disability, Generica began to fail her knight classes. Her family withdrew her from the school before she could damage her reputation.
♦ Her family sent her to Arcania to live with her uncle when she was 12, as an excuse to not have to answer the question of why she wasn't in the academy.
♦ She practiced magic to make-up for being a fail!knight.
♦ Her uncle died and left her his "estate" when she turned 18
♦ She sold most of it so she could move back to Adysia.
♦ She's the lowest of low knight apprentices now, but works hard with the hope of rising in ranks.
♦ She still visits Arcania to finish selling the things her uncle left her.
♦ Her parents don't want to deal with her because her new rank is shameful.

Extra Facts;
♦ Brown-Sequard Syndrome ; Rica's disability. Essentially, this is a very rare condition often caused by a puncturing wound to one side of the spinal cord (usually a gunshot or knife wound). Her injury mainly effects her legs. On the left leg, the side she was stabbed, Rica's motor functions are limited. It's essentially a few second lag between her brain giving an order and her leg recieving it. She also has spontaneous weakness, which results in her left leg randomly giving out. She cannot feel anything on her right leg, whether it is temperature or touch, but it otherwise moves normally.

♦ Leg Brace ; Rica wears one on her left leg, which helps her stay stable when her leg randomly gives out.

♦ Magic ; Her magic is her strong point, which actually isn't saying much. Rica never fully dedicated herself to learning magic, so her spell casting never reached a truly amazing level. She can cast wind and electricity spells best and can use some small plant magic, but is absolutely useless with water. Her fire magic is relatively strong, but Rica is unable to control it and is therefore forbidden from using it. She is also capable of firing magic bullets made entirely from magical energy. Her magic is mainly offensive and she is not good at using it defensively. She uses magic spells to keep her opponents at a distance, but does not have lethal force with her spellcasting.

♦ Fighting Style ; Rica uses her magic to keep her opponents at a distance. She can use a sword, but avoids close-contact fighting because she does not want her disability to become apparent. Her way of fighting is very showy and is meant to be impressive looking, to hide her weaknesses to observers, and creates distance between her opponent and herself. But if the distance is closed and Rica is pushed, shoved, or knocked over, she has a very hard time regaining her balance.
